Where I want to be...

« on: May 13, 2008, 01,06:59 PM »

Hi All

Bit short notice Tongue The DSE area opening the new Limberlost Rd unloading area at 12 midday on the 31st of May.
AMTRA have been invited to attend the occasion via Peter E. Instead of going just for the opening I thought I'd put on a ride in the area and maybe get a few more AMTRA members along. Starting at 9am from the new unloading area a loop out returning for the opening at 12 and BBQ then another loop in the afternoon.
Ride level is a 2 with a distance for about 80 to 90 Km for the day. I have ridden in the area a fair bit but haven't for years so I may take a bit to find my way around. It can be very greasy if wet.
Please tell me your coming here or ring before the 26th so the DSE can be told how many AMTRA people to expect for the BBQ.

For more info ring Tim 0427 454 350

Open the attachment below to see the DSE information

Hello Tim,
I'd like to attend but can't confirm this until a little closer to the date, I need to check my work roster.

Cheers,
        Chris.

Just wondering were limberlost rd is?

About half way between Powelltown and Noojee. On the right if you are going toward Noojee.

We've never had any rides from that spot in the last 5 years (that I know of) so I'm not sure how this came about. But we do have a chance to support it now that it is there.

I do know that a pit toilet in the Granton carpark at North Creek Rd where the monthly Marysville ride leaves from would be very well received and well supported.

Over the course of the year this one ride often gets more people coming than the other rides do in total for the month.

If the DSE are willing to help with that and want some assistance from AMTRA there are a number of members (including me) who will be happy to assist!

We'll see you there Eric.

Also to everybody intending to come, we've been asked to park away from the shelter on site. As we're getting there and going for a ride before the opening the DSE want to keep the area near the shelter clear as it's where the opening ceremony is being held.

Rob

No problems with Rec Reg on this ride. We're looping back to the cars/starting point and no major roads.
