Just a friendly reminder to everyone on this ride about food, fuel and getting there. Also bring your UHF radio if you want  and please don't bring an unreliable bike, rather one that is well maintained.

Details:
Fuel for 120K's minimum NO fuel is available in the ride area. Fuel drop can be arranged just need a volunteer to drop off the cans and another to pick them up later. It's a 20min round trip to drop off the fuel via the bitumen. Lunch will be on the trails, Rec Reg welcome.

Start location is the T junction of Mt Baw Baw Tourist Rd and Vesper Rd. Please Note two things the Vesper Rd I am referring to is a RHT at the top of the hill on the C426 MT Baw Baw Tourist Rd as you head from Noojee to Mt Baw Baw. There is NO sign post it is best identified as a RED clay cutting entrance. If you go to far down the Mt Baw Baw road you will hit the next T junction of the C465 Fumina Rd on RHS so turn around go back up the hill and take the first Road on the LHS being Vesper Rd. Note some locals and maps also call this section of Vesper Rd, Ferguson Rd.
See attached map on first post for more details.

If you are not confident finding the place and come the same way I do up the Princess Hwy from Melbourne; I stop to get a coffee and meet people at the Longwarry BP servo about 7.10am and leave after 10mins at 7.20pm.
We park out the back where the trailer parking is.

Call me to come on this or any of my rides Brad 0428580900

Folks I am heading straight to Noojee next Saturday as there is a tree that needs some attention for things to flow well.

Is there someone who is going to stop at the Longwarry BP who can connect with other riders there and lead them along to the car park for the ride.

Please let me know and we will post up your mobile for contact.

Folks,
If you have had thoughts about doing ride leading or tailman and are unsure of what it entails or your capability have a think about the following:

On Saturday I will facilitate "ON Ride" mentoring for a second ride leader and tailman.

How this will work is there will be an experienced ride leader and tailman on the day with a second leader and tailman appointed who will take on lite duties whilst being mentored during the ride.

I will be asking for volunteers for these secondary positions on Saturday which do need to be filled for the ride to run well.
Please have a think about volunteering?

P.S> All riders are empowered during AMTRA rides to help each another or offer tips as and when appropriate; assisting the leaders and the tailmen on the day.

Regards,

This sounds like a great idea, and I would happily have put my hand up for it if I was able to attend this ride.

Are you planning to do this for your future rides too?

Folks tonight I am calling this ride full as at the moment there are enough riders to run next years AMTRA HCR 2012.

Unless you are on the list or have spoken to me that you may come, as a few have, then as of 8pm tonight its RIDE FULL.

Sorry for those who miss out, but I have a responsibility to the club, the riders and the group to stop somewhere.

For those who are coming will be a great day, you will meet allot of other members on this ride and I will do my best to make it run smoothly.

BTW over the next few days please go over your bike with a fine tooth comb to ensure it is as reliable as possible this will also keep the ride flowing.

If you can't make it pls post up your disappointment however these spots will NOT be back filled.
