THIS RIDE IS RUNNING, LUCKY LAST FOR THE YEAR!!I havent run a ride in this area, but I know there is some great loops that I have been putting together so I thought I might run a level 2+ ride if there are enough people wanting to ride this close to christmas. Minimum will be 10 riders.

NEW Start point. Marginal road bike park area, 6.5km on right along Melba hwy past Kinglake, toolangie junction. Be there 8.30 for 9.00 departure. This is a popular parking spot, so the later you are there the harder it is to park, but at least there is a toilet! LOL

This ride is around 110km max, it has a good mix of tracks & surfaces, plenty of fun stuff.

Not hitting up fire roads too much. Listed as level 2+ to ensure everyone is happy with this not being a beginers ride, but I wont leave anyone stuck. So if you want to challenge you want to step up a little this might be right for you.
There are a few harder hills on this ride that could be a challenge but I have alternate routes if anyone wants to miss any of these.

Due to the shorter distance there is NO fuel stop, lunch will be on the trail, no food or fuel at all where we will be.
Please dont come unprepared, its easy to carry a bit of extra fuel, its harder to get an empty bike out of the bush.

This ride is planned to be fun & a possible challenge for those who want it be. Or just an excuse for a ride right on Christmas

I have just checked this ride & it should be a whole lot of fun.

I'm in the same boat as Zeb - can do the ride if it was Saturday, but unfortunately not on the Sunday.

Damn, was really looking forward to it.

I have updated the ride list for this sundays ride.

Weather forcast : Showers late in the day so this will be a great ride day!

Route checked last week & there is a good mix of all surfaces including a bit of red clay! LOL

Still think we will be around 110km for the day, as there are a few riders coming we will be using the cornerman system.

Dont forget bring lunch and ensure you have enough fuel.

Cheers Pete
