Title: Wills AMTRA Long and Winding Road Ride Saturday 8/10/11 Post by: Willbar on June 19, 2011, 06,24:27 AM Ok this will be a road ride and is open to anyone with a road ridable bike, whether its a road bike, duel sport, sports bike or a cruiser, or what ever you want to ride its up to you. There will be as much twisty stuff as we can find.
We will meet at the Eastbound Longwarry BP road house Saturday the 8th of October at 8am for a cuppa then on the bikes for 9am and then to a pub somewhere for lunch and maybe finish of at a pub for dinner then home. Distance hopefully around 400 to 600klm for the day. We will also use a corner man system if more than just a few riders. Let me know if you want to come along as I am starting the planning now. I have a road bike ( don't get out on it much as I spend most weekends on the dirty ! ) where about's are you thinking of heading off from the BP ? I only want to know as if it's in my direction of where I live I would love to tag along. I get a sore butt on the road bike :P so like to know how far I have ride. Cheers. I have a Ninja 900cc - we only ride twisty stuff, hate riding on straight open roads... and it stuffs my tyres ( they cost a small fortune ! )
Gippsland will probably be to far for me - it takes me 1 hour to get to the BP in Longworry ... but it's a fun ride :D Have a great ride guys. Only rain I got was Moe to Traralgon.
Fooled the weather gods on the ride home Sunday, wore the rain suit and it kept it dry. Around 550 km for the weekend. |
