Title: Eildon L1 SUPER EASY + Beginner training 28th Nov.
Post by: Peter r on September 07, 2009, 10,09:15 AM
Level 1 super easy , even easier than Marysville or Cobaw and is 45 min further from Buxton. Just think cruzin around the bush on a sunny day, how good can it get not even working up a sweat, just like sittin on the lounge watchin two n half men. So if you just love gettin out in the bush and sniffing the eucalipt's , then this is the level 1 ride for all you go easy riders. Also there will be rider training along the way with some of our experienced AMTRA riders. So come along and learn from someone whose rides like there's no tomorrow ,balance, cornering , clutch control, clutched mono's ,legs up mono's & how to improve your confidence and give you those balls you been missing.Ring peter 0409381745         (http://www.bumpernuts.com/animala.gif)

WE WILL MEET AT 15 MILE ROAD ON EILDON JAMIESON ROAD WHICH IS 20KLM'S EXACTLY DOWN EILDON JAMIESON RD . THIS WILL ADD ANOTHER 20-25 MIN DRIVE DOWN EILDON JAMIESON ROAD, AND I WILL PUT AN AMTRA SIGN AT THE PARKING AREA.(PARKING AREA ON RIGHT) So 45 min from buxton approx

Everyone is welcome and hopefully you will learn a thing or two, Serge might come as long as you stop calling him a girl.
My leg should be ok by then, and it will be the first ride back from a long mending process. Maybe someone will have to teach me as this will be my first ride in 5 months.

I'm keen to come along, will be my first group ride.  Bought bike a few weeks ago (WR250F) and just getting it (and myself) ready.  Any idea on where we're meeting or details still to come?

Pete,

I just wanna know if the heamoroid cream (that you have for your 'condition'), is the same as the stuff you used to grease the pan with, prior to cooking the spring rolls, and wether it will work as a good bead lubricant on the new 404's I'm gonna buy and fit for your training weekend?

 ;D

Peter doesn't use a brand its home grown on two fronts?
Because home remedies for hemorrhoids really work? YES

As another Doctor said who lived in Jerusalem, Israel. "I was suddenly struck down so bad with Hemorrhoids that I haven’t slept in three nights nor left the house in three days. Desperate I went randomly to Google and stumbled into a website – straight for home remedies and put some of them straight into action. It has been the first time since this started that I was able to breath[e] after trying them. I just wanted to say thank God and Bless you and yours for ever and ever!"

Yes, these hemorrhoids home remedies really do work.

Dr Brad babble babble bla bla... Honey get me another beer!

Looks like Saturday might be slightly damp, not afraid of a bit of rain though, but can any veteran riders to Eildon shed any light on what the conditions can be like when it gets damp there?  Rear tyre on bike (WR250F with a Michelin M12) has only 1-2 weekends left in it (about 1cm of knobby left in middle)  Keen to know from someone who's been there if it's a hard place on tyres and a difficult terrain when wet.  Might try to replace before then if the conditions are known to be tough when wet.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.  Dan

Life is too short to muck around with a tyre that is clearly past its use by time. They don't cost a fortune but a good tyre can be the difference between a great day out and a bugger of a day. Having said that, much of the riding in the Eildon area where peter usually goes is rocky in parts and gravelly in most places. Generally a new tyre is not essential in the wet there, but why bugger up a great day out with a tyre that should be off to the re-cycle place. Get a new one!

Dennis

I can sell you a tyre for $95.00

Yea the plan is to replace with a Bridgestone M404, reviews are good.  Riding around near home on harder ground, hills and some mud (when I can find it) has been fine.  As I've never been to Eildon I just not sure if a little bit of rain turns the place into a mud bath.  Dennis's description of Eildon in the wet sounds good, thanks for the heads up.  The original forecast was for fine weather so was never a concern, just thought it was worth checking to be safe.  Will replace if I can book it in tomorrow unless I have to head insterstate.  Thanks again.

Hey Peter and crew, thanks for a great outing, well organised.  Sorry I slowed things down in the afternoon, those steep hills were a bit daunting for my first ever forest outing, but I learnt heaps for next time.

I have a few photos but aren't able to upload them, if someone sends me their e-mail address then i'll forward them on so they can be posted up
