This is not an AMTRA event!

Attached is the entry form (2 pages) and an information sheet for the Tallarook Vinduro to be held on Sunday 26 May 2013.

Please read the instructions carefully, and have your details filled out and come with correct change on the day as pre-entry is not available for this event.

This will be the first Victorian vinduro to be held under the auspices of the new Vintage Enduro Riders Incorporated (VERi) organisation. More details about VERi will be revealed at the Tallarook riders' briefing.

For more information about the Tallarook vinduro, contact Peter 'Drakie' Drakeford on 0422 299 003.

See you there!

How 'bout you two work it out in a civilized manner, and let us know who's riding what!

My first Vinduro is done and dusted, what a blast. Full credit to the organisers and landowner. As my IT does not have reg I was limited to ride the 7km loop on private property. The loop was well planned with tight and flowing single track, a number of small logs and 2 great hills. One with plenty of rock that caught a lot of bikes out and the second started with a loamy berm leading to 2nd then 3rd gear mono's all the way up. Weather was perfect (no rain or dust) and a good turn out. Met some great blokes and the bikes-Maico's, Husky's, SWM's, Yammies, Honda's, can Am's, the list goes on. There was a real quick bloke riding this little rocket
I would recommend this event to anyone with a pre-85.
regards Tony

No, not guilty your worship!  The guy next to me was stinking the place out!

It was a good event.  I met up with and chatted (briefly) with Tony, who was out on his first Vinduro.  We listened to the briefing which advised that the loop was around 7ks long (short), with an optional 'red-plate' loop in the forest of around 40ks.

I was riding with Don B and Peter E, so we decided to do a loop of the course first, then go into the forest. The loop was very technical, all single track (private property), and VERY rocky.  I got around it OK, not so Peter.  He had an off on a rocky hill climb, which knocked the wind out of him.  After the first loop, we re-grouped for the forest run, but Peter was complaining of carby issues.  We convinced him to give it a go, so off we went.  The exit from the property was all gnarly, single track and I waited for around 20 mins for Peter and Don to catch up.  When they finally did, Pete looked spent and his bike was not much better, so he headed back and Don and I continued on.

The forest loop was a hoot!  I've done many of those tracks before (on the WRF) but never on the ol' girl.  She was lovin' it.  It was the first chance I'd had of taking her up some decent hills.  I remember going up Teehans No. 6 track and down Magazine track, we went past the dam and over Flat Rock, but that's it.....the rest was just a blur!  Even though the loop was arrowed, Don and I still managed to get geographically embarrassed, but all that meant was we did 5 ks of another brilliant track!

After the loop, we headed back to camp and had lunch.  Don called it quits at that, but I went out for another 2 or 3 laps of the course, finishing with about 70 k's total (which I maintain is plenty on these bikes!)
