Level one ride blasting around Tynong North distance will depend on the group but will be aiming at 100km so that we all feel like we have been riding for the day.

Pleanty of assistance , steady pace with some tougher stuff thrown in, we have a great selection of terrain out that way.

Meeting at Tynong North Road exit of the Princess Highway  ( about 10 kms past the last Packenham exit ) at 8.00am to be on the bikes and riding by 8.30am.

Hill Climbs , Steady Decents , Faster open sections and plenty of Errosion Mounds at our disposal.

Point of clarification : In a post placed by Jarad in this thread he mentions that he had been to bunyip on a social ride and discovered that some of the gates leading to some of the trackes were closed , in my reply i state that its OK as we can ride around them . In making that statment i am refering to the availbilty of other tracks that are open allowing us to ride around the closed sections and not suggesting that we ride around the closed gates. AMTRA does not condone the illegal use of any part of a national park track that is designated as closed to the public ..... Hope that clears up any confusion.

Is it a level one or level two, bit of a mixed message, level one is building skills and the distance may be a little much also. 60km would be a fair distace for a level one.
From the description I'd say it's a level two.

Good Points so let me clarify  ???

Level ones blast as well they just blast a little slower  ;D  but the adrenalin involved is approx the same , and the distance well , as per the last time i ran this ride thats also dictated by the group , when the boys / girls have had enough and cant do any more we cruise back to the cars and we go home.

Once back at the cars If some portion of the group feel like they wanna and can keep going and time permits i can accomodate that as well.

As you can see very flexible as it should be for my beginer buddies.

The ride is defs intended to attracta a level 1 or begineer audiance if some slightly more experienced guys wanna tag along thats fine as long as they are happy to "blast" along at the groups level.  ;)

This ride sounds good, i'll be there...

hey zeb, i was up there last weekend and the gates to good ridge rd ( i think thats it) was closed. unsure if due to the weather lately but just thought id let ya know.

Hey Dave, you are most welcome, how is the new bike what have you found compared to the previous model as I think you have gone from 4T to 2T and another manufacturer?

do you want any non- newby riders to come along & help sweep / pick up riders / help fix flats / help on hills etc. ?

It looks like you have attracted a crowd, how many punters do you have so far ?

I WAS AT BUNYIP STATE PARK LAST SUNDAY ALL TRACKS ARE STILL CLOSED,& HEAPS OF 4WDS RACING AROUND THE MAIN ROADS,I SAW A NEAR HEADON WITH BIKE ON ASH LANDING RD.
I ENDED UP RIDING AROUND THE TRACKS BETWEEN MT.BENAK & LIMBERLOST TRAILBIKE VISITOR AREA.
MAYBE UP THERE THIS SAT.
