Any one interested in a adventure type ride this Friday 30-12-2011. The distance will be upwards of 500klms 75% dirt 25% bitchy. 7.30am meet time at Gembrook bakery for 8.00am start. Gembrook - Nooje - Woods Point - Kevington Hotel for lunch - Re fuel in Jamieson - Mt Terrible - Big River - Cumberland Junction - Warburton - Melbourne. You will need a minimum 200klm fuel range and refuel is avail at Jamieson,

We will be covering some 4wd tracks around Woods Point and Mt Terrible, however there are other alternatives if you are not overly confident in the rough stuff or you have a large adv bike. Majority of tracks run parallel with main 2wd roads and trust me we are talking wide smooth sandy granite twisty fun roads, so don't feel that you need to be Mr Motor cross to come along on this ride. I will be riding a Ktm 990 Adv, therefore the tracks we will be riding are not to difficult, however a little off road experience will be required if you choose the track option. I can guarantee there will be no river crossings.

This ride will be long, however if you are looking for a cruisy gravel road morning ride you can exit the ride at Woods Point and cruise back to Cumberland Junction - Warburton etc.

Depending on track conditions and rider capability incl my average self, there may be changes on the day, so come with a sense of humor.

Give me a buzz for more details Russell 0466 - 772 630.

Russell, would be very keen to join you on this one but can't confirm until tonight(Wed).
Have a 1200gs and have done parts of this area including Mt Terrible so it sounds like a great day.
Confirm tonight. Cheers, Greg.

Looking forward to meeting you up at Gembrook. If there are any changes i will give you a buzz.

I will be the chunky bloke sitting outside the bakery eating my way through a pie or two.

Cheers Russ.

Awesome ride today Russ, i never new a 1200 GS could go where Gregs went today. A lesson i learned was when faced with navigational challenges, stop looking at the map and have faith in your GPS.
Will definately be looking out for one of your adventure rides on the calendar in the near future

Thanks Nathan. No doubt we all tested the big girls today. Greg deserves a medal for where he punted that rhino. Had a great day with a great bunch of blokes. Just under 500klms for the day, no wonder i am so bloody tired. I will try and make this type of ride a permanent fixture on the website and try and give a little more notice.

Cheers Russ.
