Title: Neerim Sth HTFU- 2 Clubman Saturday 13th November Post by: Willbar on September 15, 2010, 05,46:29 AM ok after last weekends ride at Neerim I noticed there were a few who need hardening up once more, so here we go again.
Read this carefully though as some who were on the last Harden the Fook Up ride asked that we do this one slightly different. $20 must be paid to me before or at the October club meeting so we can pre purchase the T shirts so they can be presented at the end of the ride. Anyone who is not hard enough to come to the pub for dinner after the ride need not come either. HTFU number 2. Level clubman ride Neerim South. Ok this one will be a full day ride with lunch on the trail and need enough fuel for 140klm . If you want to know what HTFU means then call me but Numbers are 21 as this is going to be as full on as we can do in this area so not for the faint hearted. This will still be a very social ride, with a few stops, and Dinner at the Robin Hood Pub after the ride. You need to book your spot early, or miss out, no late commers due to having to pre order the T shirts and book dinner. Read this carefully though as some who were on the last Harden the Fook Up ride asked that we do this one slightly different. $20 must be paid to me before or at the October club meeting so we can pre purchase the T shirts so they can be presented at the end of the ride. Anyone who is not hard enough to come to the pub for dinner after the ride need not come either. HTFU number 2. Level clubman ride Neerim South. Ok this one will be a full day ride with lunch on the trail and need enough fuel for 140klm . Many amtra rides involve money, It can be a fine line with backup drivers getting $$ for fuel and wear and tear on there car to someone getting a free room from the pub for bringing 10 people for the night. It is so good to be involved in a envolving world, and at times we must all embrace change, or we will get stuck in the dark ages and just fade away into the darkness. The group of people in AMTRA which I am involved in, is a very social group, and anyone is welcome to join in on these social activities, if you fit the criterior of the particular event being run. The Harden the Fook Up ride is not just about the ride, but about the whole day, it is about the social interaction of club members throughout the day, helping and supporting each other and encouraging each of us to be better riders, and doing things which may be out of our comfort zone. It will then be finished of with a celebration social dinner, where we can all celebrate our achievements of the day, and we will all go away with a Trophy T shirt to remember the day by. It may not fit into what you think is a good AMTRA spirit Tim, but it certainly fits into what I think is a good AMTRA spirit, Social Interaction with Like Minded People.
