Queen's Birthday weekend.Get in before the tracks are closed.Mostly level 2 riding.Where too will depend on the weather and the river conditions. One plan is to do Razor track and then follow on to Wonnangatta station.Fuel range needed will be about 100 km.Camping will be on the club property.BYO fuel/food and fizzy drinks.Post up your intention here or pm message.

Where I want to be...

Hi Rob

I was up there last weekend and as you know it was wet, all the fire wood was wet and getting a good fire going was a pain as there was very little dry firewood in the firewood shelter. Yes the firewood shelter that some DH dropped a tree on Angry that left it all bent and now with a hole in the top of it just off centre where the wood is stacked.

Anyway I've spilt about a little more than three wheelbarrow loads of wood that's stacked in the firewood shelter away from the hole for the long weekend.

If that can be replaced after your weekend then there will be something for the next time someone is up there and if they do the same, and the same, that way every time there will be stack of dry wood just like it use to be years ago.

I hope to get up there, maybe Sunday, but yet again daughters and basketball...

Oh and I forgot to turn off the water  Roll Eyes but that shouldn't be a problem this time of year.

Myself & the Hobbit will be getting to the block about 6.00 pm Friday.Shaun will be arriving early Saturday morning.Saturday's ride will leave the block about 10.00 am and be going into Wonnangatta. After Wonnangatta we will make a decision about heading straight back or going up Water Spur depending on fuel/energy/time etc.

Sunday (9.30am)will be a ride up Schultz on to Gunn's and then into Harrietville for lunch and fuel. The return trip will be along Paddy's and back to camp.

Shaun will be heading home Sunday evening so a decision will be made then weather we will stay the night/ride Monday depending on any other people being there.

I am on a DRZ400 and on this bike i am comfortable on L2 rides when it gets to L2 plus I am not so comfortable man handling the Drz. I am asking if I will be ok on your planned rides. If you are all clubman riders I am happy to give it a miss as I dont like to hold better riders up on proper enduro bikes. Happy to do short stints of single track or gnarly hills but I wear out quick if it goes like that all day. Honest truth answer appreciated.

ps happy to bring a chain saw for firewood if that helps.

Count me in for Sat 10am start sounds good if it works out

Rob and Dougie (Hobbit) run a pretty cruisy ride, you'll be fine on your DRZ.

Thanks for letting me tag along on this ride really enjoyed the high country and wonagatta station. Great bunch of guys to ride with. On saturday we had to change our rout due to multiple trees over razor track and the river crossings just got deeper and deeper until we decided carrying the bikes over on our shoulders would not be fun and turned back to camp for a beverage. ps Cruisy ride = ice y water up to your crotch.

Let me know next time you go for a ride, I be there

I had a great weekend, there were a lot of trees down after last weeks storm which made razor and shultz tracks difficult if not impassable.

We still managed to clock up 150k's for the 2 days and i had my fair share of fizzy drinks.

Thanks Tim for leaving some firewood for us to burn, and i am sure we replaced most of it Roll Eyes

Thanks crispy doug shaun and glenn, will catch up next time

glad we did not do any extra trails as I had about 1 litre left in the drz,

Here is the link to the spot tracker I am not sure if it will work I am not up to how all features work.

https://login.findmespot.com/spot-main-web/locations/history.html

I think it worked? just click on top right hand square to tag all locations then click on show on map then you can zoom in and move around even change to sat view or map view. If you look at the sat view and zoom in on billabong it shows where we stopped at the old homestead and tag 21 shows the deep river crossing that we turned around at, earlier on it shows where we went up razor and turned around after trees blocked the track.

Was working now its not I am not having much luck sharing spot tracking device info with family and friends. I can view maps myself create a shared page email it to friends but it never seams to work?

here is the link it gave me to share: http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0bEyrDWOqBndmbuhbkPZ7jH2aJdPMXMJj
