Is there a roast?

Yes, there is a ROAST dinner Saturday and Saturday/Sunday breakfast as part of the weekend. Expect to pay about $20 a head if you wish to eat.

Two days riding based at the block, will consider conditions closer to the weekend before deciding on rides

If you're a starter for this weekend and wish to be catered for the three meals please tell me by the Friday before the weekend. So that means I need to know if your eating by the 21st of Aug.

Gee you took your time to say you'd be starters I was beginning to think that you three were not coming, normally you all are in the first few on the list.

Doug, Doug, now I remember he's that short fat guy who can hardly ride a motorcycle.

My birthday is 2 weeks prior to this weekend. So I will have a drink for me too.

And did you know if you have 26 people together it becomes more than likely that 2 will share the same birthday.

We've just cracked twenty starters with Denis K coming along, still 4 weeks till the weekend.

 Another thing I should have said earlier, please bring your favourite beverage in cans only, empty cans are a lot easier to bring back for disposal than bottles.


I'd guess there will be about 300/400 empties this weekend.

Its very cold up here at the moment and its looking like it will be a cold weekend.
The snow was fun last year anyways :)

what fuel range we needing, will the husky pathetic 85k's be enough ? or will i fit the bum tank?

A bit more than 100k range would be needed, 120k max.
Put a litres in the back pack.

My plan this year is to get the dinner on early, about 4. Last year is was almost 10PM by the time we ate after getting back about 7 in the dark ::)

2. If a few of you get to the property early and feel like going for a little a ride I'd much appreciate it. It would be good if we had a little scout just to have a look at what the track conditions are like in the local area, I think there may be a tree or two down, on the ridge tops in particular. Cobbler, Wolseldine that would be great.
 

Tim are you just doing dinner or breakky as well?  How much $$$.

The river was honking on the way out.

I am guessing the water tanks are full at Abbeyard!

The rain was (almost) hcr like at times.
Highlight of the weekend was Tims fantastic roast dinner on Saturday night complete with apple pie and custard afterwards, and the usual AMTRA camping atmosphere with plenty of people to talk to and a few to keep us entertained!!

The six who did the Sunday run to Cobbler all got to see a little of the white stuff.
It was not staying on the ground though, it was only on the undergrowth.
There was a very light snow shower at the lake it’s self.
The lower part of Cobbler near the property was very gooie. 
Shut the gate at 2:45pm.

Thanks for a great weekend. Every time I have a cup of tea I'll remember the weekend I found out what getting "tea bagged" was. Looking forward to the next one.

Yes it was a good weekend, I wish we got a bit more riding in but we were thwarted by the conditions the High Country gave us, next time...
