Title: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Mat R on May 11, 2009, 11,39:15 PM Not a Weekend at Abbeyard.
I have no others beside Phil and myself who have said they are going, so this ride is now cancelled. So if you turn up and wonder why I am not there - you should call me. Looks like a Wombat ride on the Saturday then. Mat R. 0409 520 642 Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Phil Randall on May 12, 2009, 03,56:54 AM Matt, Sounds like a good idea.

Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Mat R on May 14, 2009, 11,19:49 PM So, who is actually interested in coming?
Only reason I ask is the ex is trying to steal the whole weekend back. ::) So if I have some people going on the ride I can say, honestly, that it is too late to change now. But it is the ex, so I don't mind lying. ;D You don't have to come for the whole weekend either, you can just come up to ride on Sat or Sun only. Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Phil Randall on May 17, 2009, 11,44:59 PM Matt, Please do not lie to the ex on my behalf. I have put it in my diary. Do you want me to call her????.
Phil R. Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Mat R on May 18, 2009, 01,47:24 AM Thanks, my honesty can remain intact.
The aim of the weekend is to have a club meet at Abbeyard. Visitors are also welcome to come along to see what AMTRA is about. As far as rides go, I will lead one but other ride groups are fine. All I ask is that you consider all present and stay inclusive of the group. Ride ideas so far are 1. HCR routes. 2. Craigs Hut. 3. Wonnangatta. 4. Dargo big day out for lunch. Fuel range of bikes there, potential for fuel drops/stops and conditions at the time are going to steer a lot of this. So far I have Me Phil R Rob C + 1 or 2 Aaron Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: chrism on May 18, 2009, 03,34:35 AM Hi Mat, I'll come along if I can. As always won't know until about a week before hand.
Chris. Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Tim Dykes on May 18, 2009, 07,25:17 AM I am working on a Dargo ride. This would be a big day, around 320km.Would need to be up early and out the gate. Well prepared bikes and riders only. Be prepared for freezing conditions and a lack of daylight hours(headlight recomended). Would also recomend some cold weather gloves and a good jacket. Will need a fuel range of 170km. Can't make that? Then don't come. Would need to keep moving with minimal breaks. If I can't get a good group together, I will go on someone elses ride. Should be plenty of options for the weekend. This is just 1 idea at this stage. Phil has done a one day Abbeyard Dargo Abbeyard Cup weekend last year with me; he should be able to help you out Aaron. We left Abbeyard at 7:25 and I hit the tar above Dargo at 11ish. The way I went, Tea Tree Range Tk, and back with Shanes group, it was a bit less than 150km each way. Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Aaron on May 26, 2009, 06,08:51 AM I can no longer make this weekend due to family commitments. :'(
Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Robert James Crisp on June 03, 2009, 08,29:40 PM You can cancel us out of this one please.I have had a look at the weather forcast for the weekend and have decided that more of HCR09 weather is not to my liking :(
Title: Re: Abbeyard Queen's Birthday Bash Post by: Phil Randall on June 03, 2009, 10,42:34 PM To all, It would appear that numbers could be limited, like only Matt and Myself. So we have decided to cancel the weekend and will do something later in the year, or in better weather!.
