Peter, along the lines of power, how many watts are the flood lights going to be?

At the moment the lighting there is 400 watts down to the showers(8X25watts and 2X150watts floodlights) and 270 watts for the small shed (150 watt floodlight and three fluros)
a total 670 or so Watts.

It would be good if all the lighting added up to around
1200-1500 or so watts so that it can run on a 2Kva generator.

So the plan for 16 X 40 fluros is 640 Watts.

All of that so far is 1310 Watts, a 150 Watt light at each end of the shed takes it to 1610 odd watts total lighting, that's running all the lights that I doubt would happen very often.

Maybe we have some 500 watt floodlights and some 150 watt ones, the 500 watters only used when a big genset is there.

Rod said we will be using the Floods that are up there, but didn't know the Wattage, anyway i'm still gunna get the twin x 36 Watt flouro's as they are cheaper than the Singles.
The lighting will be switched so you don't have to have all on at once.
She'll be right mate!!!!

Qty 12 2x36w Flouro's = 864Watts + 670Watts = 1534Watts   Without the Floods. That's excluding Voltage Drop ,RMS interference and the WOW factor 5.  =  Power factor Correction of .8, which is still ok.
I Just don't think the generator will handle a large Inductive load , due to the lack of Capacitive Reactance so Load Shedding may have to be implemented so the Generator won't burnout the sine-wave transducer and toroidal Frequency manipulators.

I gather you all understand what i'm on about ??

At the end of the day, we have 3 qualified, experienced electricians doing the wiring. If you say it will be ok, it will be ok. We trust you!
