Someone is telling you porokys seano, if they have accepted your claim irrespective if his bike has been assessed or he hasn't paid his excess they must proceed with your repairs. Insurance council of Australia will confirm this and u can even threaten his insurance company that you are going to report them if they do not pull there socks up and get on with the repairs to your bike.
