Rob, I am out; it appears I fractured my left Fibula and bruised two ribs Saturday morning whist leading the Neerim South ride. Ride finished at 3pm got to hot!

Hey Brad, Hope your ok & can ride with us soon.. Fred's in Casey hospital at the moment with severe food poisoning/gastro/dehydration from drinking the Latrobe river water on Saturday! Had to get him carted away in an ambulance yesterday, pretty scary??? He'll be ok but in there for a few days. He took same great photo's of your ride which I'll post later tonight when I get home. I let him know what's happened to you Cheers, Marls

Won't be able to make this as much as I would love to go.
Marls - I sucked up quite a bit of the Latrobe river on Saturday and have not had a problem. Hope Freds feels better soon.

Can you please put me down for this ride.
Sounds like fun. Haven't ridden to Woods Point for a couple of years.
Marls, I also drank a fair bit of the water from the river and am fine. Looking at what was left in my camelbak I actually drank about 2.5 litres of it.
Cheers Ash

Folks, Thanks for the wishes; boots are boots just get a good pair you like. I won't be changing from SIDI they are comfortable and relatively waterproof. The fall was not a big off, the ground was hard pack with a dusty grit on it and the front washed out the instant I touched the front brake, I was just unlucky when my left ankle was trapped sliding under the swing arm, all OK so far. Then the bars dug in and the bike halted I felt the rear lift up under momentum only to come down hard and break the Fibula bone in two places & into three pieces. Plaster is on 8 weeks they say. Shi!!!!
Marls sorry to hear Fred is not well, hope he gets better soon, please pass on my regards.
