how many km.s do you think that we will be doing?

Hi all a bit more info for this ride:
On the bike ready at 9.00 am so get there before then.
Bring a well maintained and fully road reg. bike that will cover 90km on a tank full. The morning ride will be a level 1 easy 70-80km lunch and refuel at the Narbethong road house. For those who chose to ride the afternoon it will be level 2 around some of my favourite tracks 80-90km ;D

Thanks for response guys, and yes just turn up at 8.30am with a full rego bike (rec. rego at your own risk) full tank ready to go. As I explained before level 1 in the morning level 2 after lunch expect some log hopping in the burnt areas. ;)

Haven't done this ride before, how do I get back to the car if I only do the morning ride? ???

You can get back to the cars via the road, or a few bush short cuts.

There's always plenty of people who leave at lunch so you won't be alone.

Directions: If your going to this ride from the Melbourne, get yourself to Healsville via Maroondah highway, follow the highway from here for 20mins through the mountains past Fernshaw reserve until you find Dom Dom saddle a cleared area on the right hand side (the hightest part of the highway). Here you will find a carpark and toilet block we will parked at the rear section. If you get to a town called Narbethong you have gone way to far.

G'day Sascha and wellcome to the amtra forum. Amtra use a cornerman system when out onthe trail which will explain on the day together with some other dos and donts, nothing too serious, but the main theme of the day being getting out and having fun on our dirt bikes and meeting like minded people. ;)

which would be the better option to stay saturday night?Healesville caravan park (in cabbin) or Marysville or black spur caravan park Narbethong?

The Black Spur caravan park is very close to our start point and should suit your needs Rob, nice people who run the place to.

          from my end ,there is 3 of us ..myself , ants74 and Treant , fist timer but a experienced bush rider.
Lets hope the rain holds off and we all come home tired and sore....and no bike left behind !! :P

Marysville Rider Caution:
I have just purchased two new tyres (404 & 403) they have now  been fitted to my Small Bore 570.
Forecast for Sunday 14th March.
 Sunny 27, Raining Rocks, Big Rocks and Light showering of Dirt.
 Full faced Helmet, Good body Armour and Full Hand Gaurds should be the attire for the day.

For your information WILL-I-AM, i like having a tight Ass, and yes i'm getting my tyres from a W/saler here in melbourne and NO i won't be telling anyone where to get them for less than 100 bucks a tyre.
If anyone wants tyres from me, they have to SUCK EGGS first.
