Title: Marysville L1/L2 Members and guests patience required Post by: Brad on June 05, 2011, 05,37:13 AM Yep lets see years on after the fires how the trails are.
Hope to start at the standard place by the bridge at Granton? As this is a level 1 to 2 ride please respect your fellow riders, remembering we all have to start and learn somewhere. Take care if overtaking and if you are taking it easy try to keep a left line to allow for people to pass. Whatever you do ride at your own pace this is not a race just a good day out with some mates who all want the fun and to get home safe. P.S. The bike in front always has right of way. Fuel for 100K's minimum and fuel is available in town at lunch for those with full registration. Lunch will be on the trails just out of town for Rec Reg and those with full reg can get food and fuel in town. Call me to come on this or any of my rides Brad 0428580900 Ride Lists for this ride has been migrated to the actual ride list that will be used on the day and those attending are not shown as one list on the AMTRA web site. Title: Re: Marysville L1/L2 Members and guests patience required Post by: Brad on October 15, 2011, 09,33:24 PM Folks we will be riding into the Marysville township to provide the community with some much needed trade for lunch and fuel for fully registered bikes. The fuel here is self serve on a credit card ONLY style pump when its working.
For Rec Reg we will eat lunch (BYO) on the track and await the full reg riders return or you can wheel the bikes to and from the town (hard work up and down hills) Hence for Rec Reg I will establish a communal 42L fuel drop at $5each for a 3L each top up. BYO 2 stroke oil and THE FUEL measuring containers are 1.5L. This will do 14 bikes, please bring the correct fuel money. NO payment NO fuel! Ensure you have your actual (not copies) of license, registration and number plate the latter two need to be affixed to the bike in the appropriate places. Don't forget to bring some money and credit card for lunch and fuel respectively. Directions: Turn onto the Marysville Rd off the Maroondah Hwy and continue until the Acheron River bridge, slow right down and look on LHS for a small dirt road which cuts back opposite direction of travel. To make this hook turn with a trailer you will need to swing out wide. Parking is down this road by the river. See attached map for the ride start location. Note 1: Can you flag if you have Rec Reg so I know if 42L i.e. 14 bikes @ 3L each, is enough fuel. BTW this will be easier than collecting heaps of cans on the day and I can do the drop on the way there and home. Note 2: Please let me know if you can't make it so I can manage the ride numbers and logistics. Aim to do 50 to 70K's AM and 30 to 50K's PM depending on how the ride tracks. Note 3: Amend your first name and surname as appropriate so all the details are captured, this will save time on the ride day. Title: Re: Marysville L1/L2 Members and guests patience required Post by: MarcL on October 17, 2011, 01,51:37 AM G'Day Brad, you may have to remove Mr Leo Giannini from your ride list. Stuart, Leo & I out went to Marysville yesterday, perfect riding conditions, although typical Marysille ice-skating once the rain came. After one of many Leo offs, I reckon he's busted a bone or two in his hand. There goes his love life ;D ;D ;D

Please be aware there will be TWO tailman on this ride per AM and PM alternation of the pairs i.e 4 persons required in total.
Anyone else volunteering up front like Adam has, is greatly appreciated and note its easier working in AM/PM pairs rather than as a lone person. Also radios will be issued per pair Ch 28 UHF @ 5Khz separation is assigned for the ride. Thanks Darren the offer is much appreciated. Peter B you're on the list Title: Fuel for Marysville L1/L2 Members and guests patience required Post by: Brad on October 30, 2011, 10,26:29 PM Petrol at Marysville is Caltex via a card swipe system. There are two pumps which sell 91 RON fuel only.
The two 95 RON pumps are "Out of Order" i.e. NO 95 RON fuel. Some people may choose to carry a supplemental Octane booster available from Auto shops. The fuel I am providing for Rec Reg is Caltex 98 Ron. Title: Re: Marysville L1/L2 Members and guests patience required Post by: Ken R on November 01, 2011, 10,20:36 PM Yes Please Brad. Can't see the start time, you may need to ring Brad - his number is on the first post. From the Westgate Bridge, going up Hoddle to the Eastern and then off at Springvale and along the Maroondah, it takes 1.5 hours to get to the ride start point. Add to that how long it takes you to get to the Westgate. Not a bad run at that time of the morning. Takes about 1/2 hour longer to get back with traffic and usually being a bit stuffed from riding. Hope you enjoy the day. Mat. Title: Re: Marysville L1/L2 Members and guests patience required Post by: Brad on November 10, 2011, 02,03:11 AM Meet at the start location at 8.30 for 9am onto the trails.

George Sanos Title: Re: Marysville L1/L2 Members and guests patience required Post by: Brad on November 13, 2011, 12,06:26 AM Folks we will be riding into the Marysville township to provide the community with some much needed trade for lunch and fuel for fully registered bikes. We all should be aware that the small parking area that we intend to use has in the past been a filling point for the CFA tankers.(I can't remember if the sign is still there). If it is we should all be conscious of the need to keep the turning access open. Just a thought, would hate to fall out with those people !!. Phil R.
