Title: Marls Woodside Lvl 1.5 Ride Post by: SCHEVY on July 31, 2011, 11,22:21 AM Saturday 10th SeptemberThis will be my first AMTRA ride I have put on.
It will be level 1.5, due to the fact it is an easy ride, but with a few challenging sections thrown in. There will be plenty of help on the day if needed. Very grippy terrain with no big hills or rocks. No river crossings. Some bog holes/large puddles :-\ It is a slow, social ride & for me, the ride is 78km & for others who want to do 2 optional Level 2 'Special Sections' with the other ride leader, it is about 96km's; so there are two, long breaks in between the special sections. For this ride, you will require some good basic riding skills & plenty of patience for slower riders. Rec reg friendly ride. The morning loop is 37km's, early lunch back at the unload point, refuel, then we complete the rest of the loop which is about 60km's. Meeting point: 8.30am - Opposite the Shell Service Station at Woodside, on the South Gippsland Highway. We will then convoy to the unloading area. On the bikes around 9.15am-ish Ride should finish around 4.00pm If you have any questions PM me or phone Marls on 0408 567 125 or Fred 0434 835 833. For those of you who dont know, I have only been riding since Easter and last weekend was my third time on the Yamaha 230, so still very new. But I love it. A huge thank you to Fred and Marls for organising the ride and a special thanks for encouraging and including me. Marls...thanks so much for holding back here and there to wait for me and sticking with me, and for being my safety net. Fred...thanks for all your advice and help especially when i fell off and felt a bit sooky for a moment. Your advise is fanatstic. Al...thanks for being the morning tailman to help get me out of trouble...and yep, im working on keeping my feet up :). Ted..thank you for being the afternoon Tailman..your advice and help on my other fall i had was terrific...and thanks for helping me to not panic when i did fall. Gary....Yes GARY...my first bump was another new thing for me to experience as i havent had that happen before..so thanks for being my first..and look out my friend..the elbow will come out next time ;D Zeb...i arrived just after your fall...i hope your ok..from what i have seen on your reports all is well..so im pleased.
