Where I want to be...

« Reply #15 on: October 27, 2012, 11,16:48 PM »

Will be coming up Friday night but not riding ,only riding on the main road out to lake cobler as getting back treatment also wondering how far it is on the road to cobler if anyone knows.

It's about 30km from the property to the dam wall.
That ~30km is to Lake Buffalo
Lake Cobbler, on top of Mount Cobbler, is at the other end of Abbeyard-CobblerLake Track, quite some distance away and with sometimes challenging riding too.

I should have looked at the word "Cobbler" better, I read the out to the lake bit and and thought Buffalo!

Lack Cobbler via the 2WD road is about 75 km each way.

Tim, I was thinking of arriving on Saturday morning in time to ride. So, my questions are, what time are you planning to head out and what kind of range are you considering? Is Harrietville on the route (for lunch, maybe)?

G'day Andrew

The weather for next weekend at the moment looks good so I don't think it will matter what day the ride I've planed happens.

Saying that though I wasn't thinking of doing it Saturday, I was thinking of having a day at the property Saturday and would do the ride Sun or Mon depending on others thoughts.

Saturday I'm sure there will be a ride somewhere, but I don't think I'll be on it. See you at the property.

Anyone who hasnt been before, bring your togs as sitting in the Buffalo river drinking beer , a short walk from the property, is good when its too hot to ride or mow lawns or do anything else.
