Thanks Marc I was unaware its the start of DAYLIGHT SAVINGS on Sunday hence all clocks go forward an hour when you go to bed Saturday night.

BTW update on directions the road that you turn onto at the roundabout in Neerim South is "Neerim East Rd"
Also there are BLUE signs with WHITE pictures of motorbikes and writing that DSE have put in place from Neerim South to the Latrobe unloading area to help people find it.

Some housekeeping, ensure you have the original numberplate on the bikes and carry your license and registration.
For this ride three are three riding options:
1)You can come for the morning
2)You can come for the afternoon
3)You can come for the whole day
Meet me in the car park  and sign the attendance log to join the ride. Also the car park has mobile reception with most companies.

This area has public toilets at the car park and down by the river. We will be stopping at these facilities in the morning until 9am, lunchtime about 1pm, mid afternoon 3pm and at the end of the ride 5pm.

A warning, don't SPEED to and from this ride the M1 and other roads are well patrolled owing to the volume of traffic. Ninety percent of the time I go out to this area I see patrol cars both marked and unmarked.

The Longwarry BP servo is a good place to stop on the way its 30min's from the servo to the DSE car park. Otherwise Neerim South has supplies if their open.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS
Hi all, for those who are unaware this is the 1st day of daylight savings. make sure you get your time right or Brad may start the ride without you. I'll leave it up to you to work out whether the clock goes forward or backwards..... Grin

Hi Brad (and all AMTRA members!!),

I went on the DBW/AMTRA cobaw ride (level 2)on Sep 19th and had an absolute ball - was the first time back on the bike in 5 years - way way way too long (dont have kids!!!!)
Anyway, was speaking to one of the AMTRA members whilst manning a corner and beleive membership is $60?? which leads me to 2 things:
A - am i able to tag along for this ride??
& B - can i join AMTRA on the day??

Thanks

Dustin,
You are welcome on the ride.

There are no facilities to join on the day. To join AMTRA the easy way is to join online OR download the joining form off the web site and attach payment (cheque or money order etc..) then post it to the AMTRA mail box address on the form.

thanks Brad,

Will be there for sure!!
will have to arrange a money order so that she who must be obeyed isnt aware of mor money being spent with "the bike"!!!
Just to check that i'm reading the original post correctly, will there be a point for refueling as i have no idea what range my bike will get on a full tank (and since i removed the front wheel my odometre isnt working!!)

thanks

Self refuel stop at 80ish mark back at the cars. As a precaution bring some oil (from memory the RMX is a great 2 stroke) in case you run out before or after lunch. I carry extra fuel for people who need it the price is based on how I feel? Hang on doesn't the RMX mix its own via two tanks?
We all have the fraternal problem for bike riders the expense and how to explain it, for me I let the Mrs have the same spend as required that appears on the card. Thank God for cash!

I must have something special, I have to work on Browny points to get pass outs to go riding but what ever my bike needs or I need for riding I just buy it and if she thinks it is getting to much she just drops the hint about the Jewls I should buy her that some should obay, I just stop spending for a bit and ignore the Jewls which she wants and then after a few days I continue on my way. Remember it's hard to find your balls on the trail when they are in there hand bags, c'mon fellas work it out before it all turns pare shape'Will
