I have a pair of Pod Mx knee braces not the current model but the first ones they made. Broke one of the knee cap tabs on one side and repaired it with a cable tie. They are comfortable (apart from straps rubbing easy fixed with sexy long thigh socks)and easy to fit having 4 velcro straps no laces.
I remember they cost me $750 each four and a half years ago.
The other popular ones are CTi and Asterisk the EVS are NOT popular. You pay for what you get with knee braces.

I've had the EVS ones for about 4 years. Havnt broken anything other than a small split in one knee cap. Only issuse i have with them was the straps wouldnt go small enough for my chicken leags. I wear the skins type pants under them and can wear them for four days of riding without them rubbing. Al

It will end up being what fits best on you.
I presently have Delkevic, they were $300 for the pair. Same problem with Al with regards to getting the velcro straps tight enough. These are the same at the bottom range EVS. They have worked fine for me but I have not given them a huge test. I feel they are in between knee guards and full bracing.
If you want high level of protection I feel that two straps above and two straps below the knee joint is better. The single straps I have on mine do not look they would stop much twisting of the joint.
Pod have a new budget model, and the K700 seems about $500 a brace.
If you want top shelf then CTI custom fit is the way to go, or depending on the individual there is CTI OTS (off the shelf) which may fit you right. If you get the custom ones Will then you can ask for a KTM imprint on them.
If you have not worn them before then it will take a couple of rides to get used to them. Then it will feel strange if you ride without them.
If you are going to try them on take pants, boots etc as well. All the stuff you are going to wear on the bike. Some folk with larger legs find getting the top of the boot around the bottom of the brace a struggle or impossible, while others find the brace will just rattle around on legs that would embarass a chook.
