While they stated all bikes had at least Rec Reg it seems many are running no plate on the bike and no headlight either. They may all be "legal" in terms of being registered but it does not show, and can be used as an example of disregard for requirements by those wanting to show trail bikes in a poor light.
This is nice video, but shows that You-tube and similar can be used against trail bikes as much as for it.

Hi everyone MotoTrailsOz here, i just noticed one of our videos had been posted here and thought i would shed some light on the ride as there is a bit of confusion. For startes no we are not pro's but thank you very much for the compliment. We have just been riding in the bush for a long time we have one pro rider no. 9 Dwayne Lloyd from the VORC everyone else is either a enduro racer or just a weekend warrior. And yep we were having a ball Big river is where we learnt to ride. As for the rego plates if you cant see them on bikes they are in the guys backpacks with their licences, few of the guys kept ripping them off and having to replace them all the time. most of us have now put them on our race plates. there was 40 riders on this ride so there was a lead and a sweep most the footage is taken from the middle so there are guys further ahead keeping an eye out for on coming traffic. I know sometimes with our vids it looks dangerous but most our riding is done in a controlled environment. I understand people have their opinions and they have a right to it but i can not control what someones bike looks like only if they are legal. Every bike we rode with was legal and had gone through the appropriate Vic Roads assesment, In Vic we can ride motorcrosses with rec reg and the bikes were all passed with led headlights hence why it is hard to see them. Thanks to all the guys who watched and enjoyed our vid, we have a heap more you can check out on our website. Here is the 2010 highlights video we just made http://www.mototrailsoz.com.au/MotoTrailsOz/Motocross-Dirt-Bike-Home.aspx
